Superintendent Candidate Interview and Meeting Schedule

On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, the candidates will gather at staggered times in the District Office to meet with District Administration (Building Principals and Clerk).  Megan Murrell will meet with the group at 2:00 pm; Steve Mayhue will meet with the group at 2:30 pm; and David Whitesell will meet with the group at 3:00 pm.  Following those meetings, District staff will escort the candidates on a tour of the school campuses before the candidates meet with staff beginning at 4:15 pm for a question-and-answer session in the Library.  At 4:45 pm, the community is invited to meet the candidates in the Library.  This will be an informal opportunity to meet the candidates and get to know them.   

Beginning at 5:15 p.m., the Board will hold public interviews in the Band Room as follows:

            Megan Murrell                      5:15-6:15 p.m.            

            Steve Mayhue                         6:15-7:15 p.m.

            David Whitesell                     7:15-8:15 p.m.

 The public is encouraged to attend these interviews, and to stay to provide public comment to the Board prior to it making a decision regarding a new Superintendent.  Following public comment, the Board will meet in a closed session to hear background checks on the candidates. 

Following the closed session, the Board will reconvene in an open session to deliberate and vote on the candidates.

FINALISTS

The Board of Trustees for the Park City School District is pleased to announce the following finalists for the position of District Superintendent.

Steven Mayhue has been the Superintendent of Froid Public Schools for two years. He previously served as the Curriculum and Assessment Director for Hardin Public Schools for one year. Mayhue has a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of Wyoming and a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Grand Canyon University.

Megan Murrell has been the Superintendent and Principal of Richey Public School for three years. Her previous experience includes three years as the Principal in Terry Public Schools and Circle Public Schools. Murrell has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Ball State University.

David Whitesell has been the Superintendent and Elementary Principal of Noxon Public Schools for four years. Before joining Noxon, Whitesell served as the Superintendent of the Arlee School District for three years. Whitesell has a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Eastern Montana College and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Western New Mexico University, and has completed all of the coursework for his Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Montana.
