Park City Schools

For years, Park City Schools has been trying to have the Nye-Hard Rock Mining Impact Plan amended to allow our school to be a part of that impact plan. In order to get that to happen we had to write an amendment plan and ask the county commissioners to send it on to the Mine Board. Unfortunately the amendment has not been sent forward. The county decided last winter to find someone who could act as mediator on the issue. Last spring we were sent a list of questions to respond to , which we did. We did not hear from the mediator beyond that original letter. The commissioners posted their agenda for this week that includes a consent agenda item listed as "Response Letter to the Park City School District" that they are unwilling to share until the meeting. Their meeting is Thursday, August 1, at 10:00 am at their West Annex Boardroom.
